The Contra Costa Crisis Center as the CPUC authorized provider of 211 for Contra Costa County. 211 is the national, toll-free, three-digit phone number to call for information about local health & human social services. Trained resource specialists answer the calls using our 211 database for referrals (www.211database.org). This continuously updated & comprehensive database provides vital up-to-date information on over 600 agencies with over 1,600 services, is accessible in multiple languages, & is available to everyone in the community free of charge.
We connect prospective clients to organizations. In addition to answering the 211 line, every quarter we maintain, & publish specialized resource guides of essential services in English & Spanish. We serve more than 38,000 callers to 211 annually & the 211 database has greater than 23,000 monthly users, & nearly 40,000 resource guides are downloaded each year.
